Haringey Wellbeing Network About the Project Working with Mind in Haringey we're delivering Haringey Wellbeing Network, a programme of community development that aims to strengthen the capacity and capability of non-specialist community organisations to better engage with and support the mental health and wellbeing of Haringey residents. The project aims to equip Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) groups, including housing, leisure, Turkish/Kurdish, BAME, Somali/African diaspora, and faith-based organisations, with the support, tools and knowledge to become more capable at supporting people with mental health challenges. Through the programme we hope to: increase awareness and collaboration with specialist services and voluntary organisations Provide capacity support to strengthen organisations in delivering mental health support in their communities. In 2022/23, 10% of adults in Haringey had depression, and 1.3% had a severe mental illness (SMI). Around 4,800 children and young people aged 5–15 have a diagnosable mental health condition Around 5,700 young people aged 16–24 have a diagnosable common mental health condition. In 2022/23, 35 children under 18 were admitted to hospital for mental health conditions. Funded by Manage Cookie Preferences
