Food Roots - Providing Information, Advice and Guidance to food partnerships in Haringey About the Project Welcome to Food Roots 2, a project dedicated to helping food partnerships across London support their service users better. With the cost of living crisis and rising food costs, we are finding that more and more people are using food banks, but we know the reason for this is so much more than just food. That's why we're tackling food insecurity at its roots. Our Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) project lead has revolutionised how community food projects operate in Haringey for the past year. Join us for the next workshop We've played our part in spreading awareness of Targeted Campaigns such as Healthy Start and Pension Tax Credit by upskilling food partnership volunteers to provide form-filling advice, increasing access to essential nutrition for families and ensuring more eligible residents receive their winter fuel allowance. Helping food banks give wrap-around support Latest News We've co-produced a data framework to measure the impact of both the crisis of food provision and wraparound support, ensuring our efforts are targeted and effective. Check out the framework here We know that food poverty causes are deep-rooted. That's why we've run workshops to help food partnerships signpost better support for service users around Benefits and Debt Health, Wellbeing, Immigration - No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) and Housing and Homelessness.
