Home Cooked is a violence reduction programme funded by the Mayor’s London Violence Reduction Unit.
This is a partnership project to help tackle serious youth violence building on the successful delivery in the Tottenham Hale ward, we are now delivering the programme in Northumberland Park. We provide a range of initiatives for young people and their families such as sport provision, employment support, a future leaders programme and mental health support.
The North London Partnership Consortium work to improve the socio-economic welfare for members of deprived communities. NLPC support young people who are unemployed get back into work, support the third sector to deliver quality services, undertaking community needs consultations, research and providing creative management solutions to employers across the private, public and third sector. 

Employability Support
NLPC supports individuals who are unemployed to return to work through personalised one-to-one support tailored to each person’s needs. This includes needs assessments, career action planning, work placements, and ongoing job sustainability guidance. The service also provides up to six months of in-work support after employment is secured, working closely with clients and employers to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success in work. 
Haringey Youth Advisory Board (YAB)
NLPC supports and coordinates the Haringey Youth Advisory Board, this is a group of approximately 20 young people who meet to discuss issues affecting their community. They are paid the London Living Wage for their contributions and work alongside community organisations and statutory services. The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) receives guidance, mentoring, and training to help them develop their skills and confidence. With this support, they provide feedback about local services and collaborate with partners to improve them

Youth Advisory Board

The Haringey Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is supported and coordinated by NLPC. The Youth Advisory Board is a dynamic group of 30 young people aged 16–25 from across Haringey, shaping decisions that affect their community.

YAB members:

  • Are paid the London Living Wage for their contributions

  • Work alongside community organisations and statutory services

  • Receive training, mentoring, and guidance

  • Help inform and shape decisions that impact young people in Haringey

The Board’s aim is to contribute to a better Haringey for young people and all residents of the borough.
