Bridge Renewal Trust Expand The Bridge focuses on safer communities and works in collaboration with Hope in Haringey to bring young people and the Police together to help build trust in the community. Restorative Justice Practice - The purpose of RJP is to help build healthy communities and decrease crime and antisocial behavior. It supports communities to resolve their own conflicts, therefore repairing harm and restoring relationships. Contextual Safeguarding Training - This workshop identifies and responds to harm and abuse posed to young people outside their home, either from adults or other young people. Mind in Haringey Expand Mind in Haringey is a local charity that works to improve the mental health of Haringey residents. Through Home Cooked, they provide two free training courses to residents and professionals in Haringey. These are: Trauma Informed Training - Trauma informed practice half day training for local professionals. It explores prevalence of trauma and introduces the concept of trauma informed practice. Youth Mental Health First Aid - Mental Health England’s Youth mental health first aid two- day course. Participants become qualified youth mental health first aiders. Father 2 Father Expand F2F work with the whole family to increase the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible fathers and male role models. The goal is to support families to be resilient and to prevent conflict. Men CHAT (Connect, Heal, Acknowledge, Talk) too - A group for African/Caribbean men. Providing a safe space to talk and learn what their needs and YP/ children’s needs are. Through engagement, they are trained to become community champions to mentor in their communities. Prevention is Better Than Cure - This 8-week course is delivered to boys in school at risk of exclusion. The workshops focus on emotion management, supporting young people to respond to unhealthy emotions and/or trauma. Using various tools and scenarios - worksheets, role play, videos, and storytelling. The Godwin Lawson Foundation Expand The Godwin Lawson Foundation was established in 2012 founded by Yvonne and Calvin Lawson to commemorate the life of their son, Godwin Lawson, who was a victim of knife crime. GLF delivers interventions that support young people’s engagement with school and learning as well as protection from violence and exploitation. Journey through school - Group work and intervention sessions for young people who are experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties including; problems with anger management, disruptive behaviour in school and possible exclusion. Young people get the opportunity to explore topics such as emotional intelligence, setting goals and confidence building. 121 Mentoring - A six-months 1-1 mentoring scheme with young people who are experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties including; problems with anger management, disruptive behaviour in school and possible exclusion. The North London Partnership Consortium Expand NLPC work to improve the socio-economic welfare for members of deprived communities. NLPC help those who are unemployed get back into work, support the third sector to deliver quality services, undertaking community needs consultations and research and providing creative management solutions to employers across the private, public and third sector. Railway Track Engineering - NLPC provide an opportunity for young people to get involved into railway engineering as track operatives on the London Underground. Participants will get a conditional offer of paid work after successfully completing training. Haringey Youth Advisory Board (YAB) - This is a group of approximately 20 young people who meet to discuss issues around youth violence which affect their community. They earn a London Living Wage for their work with community organisations and statutory services. The YAB provide feedback about local services and collaborate to improve them. Outreach Youth Workers - Outreach Workers enable the recruitment, engagement and participation of young people on the programme, including referrals to membership of the Youth Advisory Board and diverse initiatives being delivered by Home Cooked partners.
