Hundreds of people came together at Chestnuts Community Centre for our Winter Wellness launch.

The event brought together services, residents, local organisations and businesses with one aim: to support residents in staying well this Winter. Local organisations turned out in force, with stalls from across the borough, including Bridge projects, highlighting the wealth of support available to residents to keep well this Winter.

There were keynote addresses from both the Mayor of Haringey and the Director of Public Health at Haringey Council, who both highlighted the importance of community-led approaches to health and well-being. The day was jam-packed with activities, with something for everyone: tours of the Eco House, back-and-neck massages, a warm-up for the Winter dance session with local legends Candy Dance Stars, and live demonstrations from local business Waste Not Want Not.

The day wrapped up with an engaging presentation by Samantha Greaves of Sickle Cell CAUSE, who spoke about Whole Person Wellness and the importance of addressing all aspects of well-being to stay well.

Throughout February and March, look out for more Winter wellness activities across the borough.

The event was part of a joint project with the North London Integrated Care Board, Bridge, Sewn Together, and the Turkish Cypriot Women's Project that aims to support residents in staying well this Winter by increasing flu vaccine uptake, providing information on local services, and raising awareness of the support available in the borough.
