Thanks to the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), the Safer Neighbourhood Board for Haringey (SNB) has once again been able to award a total of £19,055 in funding to local organisations that are working to improve safety for residents.

To be eligible, organisations had to be currently delivering or planning to deliver projects in Haringey that meet one or more of the following priorities:

  • Reducing violence and criminal exploitation (including violence against women and girls)
  • Building safer and more confident communities
  • Improving support for victims of crime

Out of 12 organisations, the following six have been successful:

Huge congratulations to all six of the organisations.

“The support we’ve received from the Safer Neighbourhood Board has been instrumental in enabling our youth engagement football project in Haringey. It’s more than just a weekly football session; it’s a vital lifeline for many young people in our borough. The sessions help build confidence, reduce inter-postcode tensions, and offer a safe space where young people can stay active, form friendships, and explore routes into employment and personal development. This kind of support makes a real difference.”
