It was a pleasure to welcome Selina Douglas, the new Chief Executive for Whittington Health NHS Trust, to the Laurels Healthy Living Centre last week to share with her the work we are doing to improve the lives of residents in Haringey.

Seilna took time out of her busy schedule to meet with our Senior Leadership team, sharing her vision for the Whittington. She also visited Chestnuts Community Centre, seeing first-hand the services we offer to support Haringey residents of all ages to live healthier lives, enjoying a showcase of the Moving Waves Dance Camp on offer over the holidays.

"The future of healthcare relies on genuine partnership, working with GPs and, crucially, with community-led organisations like the Bridge to meet the real needs of our local population. To truly improve health outcomes, we need to rethink how we deliver care and focus on the wider building blocks of health, shaped and led by the communities themselves."

Selina Douglas, Chief Executive of Whittington NHS Trust

" We value her collaborative approach and her recognition of the Whittington’s role as an anchor organisation. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with the Whittington and working together to reduce health inequalities and improve people’s health now and in the future."

Geoffrey Ocen, Chief Executive
