Since Ramadan began, 100 local residents have received free blood pressure checks from our team of community wellbeing volunteers at Wightman Road Mosque.

The preventative initiative is a new project delivered in partnership with the Bridge Renewal Trust, Wightman Road Mosque, and West Green Road Surgery. The project aims to tackle Haringey’s disproportionately poor heart health outcomes through early intervention and community-based support.

By bringing health checks directly into trusted community spaces, the project is helping residents identify potential risks earlier and access the care they need, future-proofing their health.

The project is a pilot and will continue to the end of Ramadan.
