Healthy Hearts: Sports & Wellbeing Community Fest 21 June 2025 As part of our Research Engagement Network project to improve heart health, we delivered a Healthy Hearts: Sports & Community Wellbeing Fest at Ducketts Common. An exciting highlight was the Youth Basketball Competition between youth teams from Enfield and Haringey, which brought great energy and healthy competition from young people. In a closely contested tournament, Haringey narrowly edged out Enfield, demonstrating excellent teamwork and sportsmanship by both teams and supporters. The festival was a free, inclusive day of activities designed to support community wellbeing and raise awareness about reducing the risk of developing long-term conditions. Attendees participated in a wide range of activities, including information stalls offering blood pressure checks and practical health advice, dance and fitness session delivered by Candy Dance Stars, Godwin Lawson Foundation put on Chess and table tennis for beginners to support cognitive wellbeing and social connection. Residents also got to experience the Eco-House that was part of the Go Green Festival, as well as a stall providing employment support for those who required assistance. Manage Cookie Preferences
