Haringey Council Racial Equity Group

Our Chief Executive, Geoffrey Ocen and Haringey Council CEO co-founded and co-chaired this group. 

This group is shaping the collective efforts of key agencies and community partners in our work to challenge and dismantle the systems, structures, and behaviours that perpetuate racism. 

Our Chief Executive was instrumental in developing a borough-wide Racial Equity Action Plan adopted by the Council, NHS, and VCS, placing the social determinants of health and amplifying the voices of racially marginalised communities at the heart of collective action.
